How Many Times Did I Play “Ah Leah” On The Radio During My Career? THOUSANDS!

One of the greatest one hit wonder artists has died. The pride of New Castle Pennsylvania , Donnie Iris.

Donnie had an early hit with his first band THE JAGGERZ – “The Rapper” which was s “sort of ” one hit wonder, but definite ear worm. He then joined the band WILD CHERRY (post “Play That Funky Music” before going solo and putting out his hits “Ah Leah”, and “Love Is Like A Rock” which were both rock radio staples.

Donnie toured throughout the years, battled cancer in 2023 and in September announced his retirement from touring due to health issues. We lost him on October 26th. Gotta crank AH LEAH extra loud! Rest easy Donnie and Thank You!
